Great news we’re happy to share!

Our FastFOx project is receiving strong support from the European Union and the state of Brandenburg - Gefördert aus Mitteln der Europäischen Union und des Landes Brandenburg!

FastFOx combines an analog electrochemical gas-sensing element and electronic readout in a single chip. The project (#85068551) aims to develop a next-generation digital gas sensor optimized for high-performance and high-volume applications by reducing its size to just 2 × 2 mm, lowering energy consumption, improving signal accuracy, and enabling manufacturing scalable to millions of units.

The technology behind FastFOx and Faraday-Ox is based on patented innovations that address key challenges in the miniaturization of electrochemical gas sensors. These patents cover the unique sensor design, advanced materials, and manufacturing processes that, for the first time, enable the microfabrication of miniaturized electrochemical gas sensors. This represents a major breakthrough, as electrochemical gas sensors are currently the industry standard but remain relatively large and costly due to outdated manufacturing technologies.

By transferring this proven sensing principle onto mass-producible semiconductor chips, the technology significantly broadens the range of possible applications while paving the way for a new generation of compact, low-power, and cost-efficient gas sensors that can eventually replace today’s conventional industry-standard solutions. We are truly grateful for this valuable support, which motivates us to push the boundaries of sensor innovation and accelerate the commercialization of next-generation gas-sensing technology.
