Electrochemical gas sensors today require the use of liquid electrolytes within a housing in order to function. This 50+ year old technology is no longer suitable for the age of IoT and the high-volumes required. Our solid-state, microfabricaton-compatible technology overcomes this limitation and for the first time, brings the size and cost of these sensors in line with typical MEMS sensors on the market today. From O₂ to H₂, CO, and more, our sensors can sense different gases typical of electrochemical gas sensors on the market today, but in a revolutionary form-factor.
